How to Set Up an ActBlue Account
ActBlue is the go-to donation platform for most Democratic campaigns and progressive causes. It’s user-friendly, trusted by donors, and makes compliance tracking easier. We recommend every campaign set up an ActBlue page.

Step 1: Gather Required Information
Before you sign up, have the following ready:
- Campaign name and office sought
- Campaign email address
- Bank account details (routing & account numbers)
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- Campaign treasurer name and contact info
- Campaign website links
- A copy of your filed Campaign Treasurer Appointment (Form CTA) or FEC Form 1
Step 2: Start the Application
Go to the ActBlue New Page Application and choose "Candidate".
Fill out the form with your campaign info, including the name, office, and election year.
Step 3: Submit Verification Documents
After you've done that, ActBlue will ask for:
- A copy of your filed Form CTA or FEC Form 1
- Your campaign EIN
- Bank account details to deposit funds
They may follow up to confirm these documents and finalize setup.

Once you have contribution forms set up, you should add your ActBlue link to your website, emails, and social media. You can also use QR codes on printed materials at rallies, at the door, and at events.
